授業概要 |
この授業では、国際都市神戸と世界の「つながり」に焦点を当てる。歴史、文化、宗教、教育、建築、ファッション、防災、観光、政治、ビジネスなど神戸の特徴を切り口に選び、文献調査、データ収集、インタビュー等を行い、まちが直面する問題性を特定、既存の解決に向けた取り組みを分析評価、そして、自身の改善策を検討する。その結果を、クラスで英語によってプレゼンテーションする。英語プレゼンの内容は、学んだことをまとめるだけに留まらず、批判的考察によって課題を明らかにし、未来志向、問題解決型の提案を含むようにする。このような知的訓練を通して、神戸から世界を、世界から神戸を捉える双方向の視点や思考能力、実践的な問題解決能力を養い、グローバル人材の育成を目指す。 | ||

本講義では、各自でテーマ設定して自由研究を行いますので、担当教官と相談しつつ、リサーチ、インタビュー、プレゼンの準備を、主体的に進める必要があります。 | ||
評価方法 |
授業、自主研究への参加度(30%)、最終プレゼンテーション(70%)によって評価する。期末試験、レポートは課さない。 | ||

本学ではBYODを導入しています。履修にあたっては個人のノートパソコンを持参してください。 ・履修要件として、TOEIC785点以上のスコアが必要。初回授業にTOEICスコアを持参すること。 ・履修定員（10名程度）を超える場合は、初回授業にて抽選を行う。 ・5回以上の欠席者に単位は認めない。 ・欠席時は、事前にメール連絡すること。 ・授業に関する連絡回覧等のため、常時使用可能なPCメールアドレスを初回授業で提出すること。 ・学期を通して継続的なリサーチ、プレゼン作成作業、クラス参加が必要なため、就職活動で忙しくなる４回生の履修はお勧めできません。 |

授業計画 |
最初1/3のクラスは、クラスまたは個別に話し合いながら、研究開始に当たってのイントロ、テーマ選定、調査方法やプレゼンの指導。履修人数や共通する関心テーマによって、グループ・プレゼンとする場合もある。 続く1/3のクラスは、個別（またはグループ別）にリサーチ・プレゼン作成の指導。 最後1/3のクラスは、クラス内で順に英語プレゼンテーションを行う。評価は、担当教員とクラスメイトによって行う。 Course Schedule Lec 1: Course Introduction Lec 2: Exploring and Deciding Research Topics (1) First Round of Brainstorming Lec 3: Exploring and Deciding Research Topics (2) Second Round of Brainstorming Lec 4: Library Tour and Research Guidance Lec 5: Independent Study (1) Students will have individual meetings with the instructor to report and discuss their progress.
